Elizabeth I She/Her I Proprietor
What made me read this book was a review that said it is a bit like Deadpool (dark humor, NSFW language, etc.) meets Groundhog Day. They did not lie. The book is full of adventures, real LOL moments, colorful characters, and just enough emotion to make it well rounded (but not so much that you have to grapple with your own feelings, that is gross). A wonderful, escapist, page-turning read that transports you to another world and into a true fantasy realm. Warning, this ends on a cliff hanger so have book two ready.

If you enjoy historical fiction you will love this story of two sisters during WW2. Emotional, raw, and powerful- this book will show you the strength of women, the bond that exists between two sisters, and how the tragedies of war didn’t just happen on the battlefield.
Naomi I She/Her I Barista
This was a book club book here at Inkwell that caught my attention because it was so short and had a very neat/complex premise. It’ll have you thinking and pondering for a few days after reading. I sped through it in a few hours because I couldn’t put it down! It’s very dark, existential, and at times almost comedic/satire. It managed to be very easy to picture this “world” even though it’s short, which is a testament to the writing of the author. Highly recommend!
Danni I She/Her I Barista
A dark-humored horror/fantasy that had me hooked from the first chapter. Overall A very moving story with lots of intriguing detail. The characters were all worth rooting for, even if some were morally grey at times. Lump is one of my all time favorite protagonists and the ending was satisfying.
Abbey I She/Her I Barista
Loved this book! At no point did I know what was going to happen next and I’m pretty sure my heart was pounding as hard as the main characters!
Ginger I She/Her I Cafe Manager
This Gothic classic is one of my all time favorite stories. Stoker’s ability to build a haunting narrative and complex characters leaves the reader glued to the page.
